Anarchy - Los Angeles. 1965 magazine. 64 pages, very nice condition.
A rare, piece of tabloid history, put out by Lou Kimzey’s Kimtex Corporation (Kimzey was best known as the creator and publisher of the biker magazines Easyriders and Iron Horse). A generally unsympathetic and sensationalized account of the Watts riots told primarily through photographs depicting the large-scale property destruction, looting, national guard response, and rioter fatalities. Accounts captioned 'Mob Violence', 'The Second Civil War', 'Burn, Baby, Burn', 'The Name of the Game is L-o-o-t', 'Fixed Bayonets', and 'The Commander' describe the "anarchy" unleashed upon the city and praise the leadership of LAPD chief William H. Parker in dealing with the rioting.
