A book written by an experienced attorney who provides details on how to avoid arrest and how to plan your defense if you ever are arrested. Dee Wampler (1940 - 2021) is a noted criminal trial attorney in the Midwestern United States. A graduate of the University of Missouri School of Law, he was elected County Prosecuting Attorney at the age of 29. He contributed over 100 articles to law enforcement journals, and authored five books on criminal law. For thirty-five years he specialized in major felony trials in federal and state courts. Among the clients he represented was mob boss John Gotti, in 2001-2002.. As both prosecutor and defense attorney, his cases have been featured on Inside Edition, Unsolved Mysteries, Saturday Night with Connie Chung, Good Morning America, The Today Show, and many others.

This book was signed to Robert Philibosian, the presiding Los Angeles County District Attorney during the McMartin Preschool trial. One of the other prosecutors, Glenn Stevens, left the case in protest that other prosecutors had withheld evidence from the defense. Stevens accused Robert Philibosian of lying and withholding evidence from the court and defense lawyers in order to keep the Buckeys in jail and to prevent access to exonerating evidence. Philobosian was running a losing race to be re-elected at the time.
