Billed as “a new era in crime fiction,” this is a modern reprinting of the 1936 edition of a popular series of crime dossier mysteries published in Britain in the 1930's. The murder mystery that is presented as if in a manila folder, bound with red ribbon, containing the "dossier" of Detective Ketterling. It is comprised of Cablegrams, photographs, police reports, notes, letters, evidence of a blood stain on a curtain and more, all bound together. on different sized and various colored paper stocks. These appear in the order in which they would presumably have been "received" by the detective. The reader is invited to digest the contents of the dossier, and after pondering the evidence presented, solve the mystery of who murdered eccentric soap magnate Bolitho Blane.
