Dawn Wirth is a photographer from Burbank, CA who was one of the handful to
document the "first wave" of the Los Angeles punk rock scene from 1977-1978. Her
initial work was notably used for various fanzines such as Flipside, Sniffin' Glue, Gen X, and White Stuff. Dawn also worked with both The Mumps and The Weirdos fan
clubs, as well as creating flyers for unsigned local bands. She was one of the first LA
photographers to shoot The Clash in London and her book, "The Bags - Hollywood Forever," captures one of LA's seminal Punk bands at their prime. Dawn has exhibited in a number of museums and galleries, including the Claremont
Museum of Art.
