In his first sortie into book writing, he has chosen a topic which is probably more controversial than any other in the area of personal freedom: swinging. For in the minds of most people, even the most liberal and sexually emancipated, “wife-swapping” smacks of freakishness – kinky kicks. This prevailing attitude, Webster finds, is directly attributable to the same sort of emotionalism arising out of ignorance which characterized the witch hunts and superstitions of centuries past.
