Sex Is For Giving: The Swing to Extramarital Fun, by John Webster
Sex Is For Giving: The Swing to Extramarital Fun, by John Webster. 1968 hardcover. 149 pages, very nice condition.
John Webster has seen over 50 of his articles and essays published in a variety of liberal and moderate magazines. An outspoken defender of sexual freedom and an activist in the arena of human rights, Webster has long devoted himself to tossing bricks through the blank windows of conformity and complacency. In his first sortie into book writing, he has chosen a topic which is probably more controversial than any other in the area of personal freedom: swinging. For in the minds of most people, even the most liberal and sexually emancipated, “wife-swapping” smacks of freakishness – kinky kicks. This prevailing attitude, Webster finds, is directly attributable to the same sort of emotionalism arising out of ignorance which characterized the witch hunts and superstitions of centuries past. By open discussing, he hopes to show that swinging can be, for many people, an ideal means of bringing healthful variety and pleasurable adventure into their married life.
