He then traces the cruel persecution of witches from the 15th to the 17th centuries, giving psychological insights into both the witches and the witch hunters. After a description of the Black Mass, the Satanic ceremony that became a travesty of Christianity’s most sacred ritual, and a study of the pagan worship that gave birth to white witchcraft, the author draws some interesting conclusions about the appeal and growth of witchcraft today.
